At Anunita, London fashion designers, we are all for you showcasing your very own bespoke style. However, there’s nothing worse than turning up to an event to see people committing a fashion faux pas. This week, Anunita London, are here to talk about how to avoid fashion crimes and make a statement!

Socks and Sandals

This is the oldest fashion faux pas in the book. You probably have a hazy recollection from your youth seeing your Dad announce his presence at the annual family BBQ sporting the socks and sandals combo. However, style has evolved, and it’s no longer socks and sandals but rather socks and sliders.

So, how do you avoid committing this fashion crime? It’s simple. Do not ever pair the two together! Instead, opt for a delicate pair of sandals or some super comfy flip flops!

Clashing patterns

Have you ever seen someone wearing a polka dot skirt paired with a floral blouse? Of course not! At Anunita, we feel as though your patterned pieces should be your statement pieces. To avoid clashing patterns, our best advice would be to have one pattern and allow the rest of your outfit to be plain and let your statement piece do the talking!

We’re absolutely loving our very own ‘Motif Madness’ shirt. This wardrobe staple is the perfect addition to every woman’s summer wardrobe. Pair it with a black pair of skinny jeans and some stilettos to head out for evening cocktails with your friends!

Fluorescent clothing

Unless you’re going to an 80’s disco or fancy dress party, it’s best to leave those fluorescent leg warmers and t-shirts at home! How do you avoid this fashion faux pas? Swap the fluorescent for the pastels!

Although, if pastels aren’t your thing, another trend making waves this summer is bold, block colours. Try going for a primary coloured pair of slacks paired with a well-cut white t-shirt to truly make a statement!
